Karen Larkin-Johnson – BrokerVoice Mail: (269) 469-3729 I am the proud owner of KLJ Real Estate and as you can see on the home page, my office is a vintage home, once owned by Capt. Whittaker, founder of New Buffalo. I was head of sales for South Cove the Harbor project that kicked off Harbor Country. I then went to Forest Beach to repeat the same. These projects took many years to complete and when finished, I decided to open a small personal real estate office in the heart of town. Sometimes Bigger isn’t better and when it comes to service and personal care, I think our office does a great job. I have a big family that gets bigger all the time. (See Photo). I grew up in Escanaba MI, went to Barat College in Lake Forest, lived in Winnetka before moving to Grand Beach. Most of my friends and family live on the South and West side of Chicago so as you can see I’m well acquainted with most areas near Harbor Country.
Some people love to list homes. So do I, but I really love to sell homes. I call myself a personal shopper. Pictured below are the homes my office was able to sell during the past few months, mostly by me. From the million-dollar home overlooking the golf course in Grand Beach to the darling mini Victorian in Three Oaks, they all have a story. Why they were sold, how the buyers found me, then the house, all is very exciting, fun and rewarding in many different ways. So many people come to Harbor Country and need to learn more about each community, believe me they are all different, unique in their own way, so very often the first visit is just to drive around, have lunch and me answer questions about what we see.
